The cerebral palsy clinic is a multidisciplinary service, comprised of developmental paediatricians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, social workers and orthopaedic surgeons, for the assessment and management of children with cerebral palsy.
The clinic is a unique collaboration between the Western Cape cerebral palsy association and Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital which has been in operation since 1968. Skills development training and education, and group or individual counselling services are also extended to the mothers and carers of the children attending the clinic.
