You can now apply to study for the 2021/22 Further Education and Training (FET) Certificate: Road Traffic Law Enforcement at Gene Louw Traffic College (GLTC), Brackenfell, Cape Town. If you successfully complete this 12-month training course, you will become a qualified traffic officer. The FET course combines study at GLTC with practical on-the-job training at a specific Western Cape Provincial Traffic Centre. Successful applicants for the FET Certificate study course will be appointed for one year on a stipend of R5 000 per month. Once they are qualified, traffic officers are welcome to apply for any vacancies that may become available.
