Reminder about the closing date for NPO funding proposals

The Western Cape Department of Social Development would like to remind NPOs and organisations to submit funding proposals for residential, independent and assisted living facilities for older persons, and residential facilities and protective workshops for Persons with Disabilities, before the closing date.

Qualifying organisations have until 16:00 on 18 September 2024 to submit their proposals, based on the specifications by the various departmental programmes. No late applications will be considered.

It should also be noted that funding proposals outside of the above specified programmes will not be considered. A similar call for proposals for other social development programmes and services was conducted and concluded during the previous financial year.   

NPOs must complete a standardised application form, along with all of the specified supporting documents. The proposals will be assessed, and applicants notified of the outcomes.

Funding to successful organisations will commence on 1 April 2025.
