Hospitals in Central Karoo has also seen an increase in COVID-19 patients.
“To everyone living in the Central Karoo district: stay safe, wear your mask, avoid crowds, confined spaces with poor ventilation and close contact. Only visit health facilities when needed. Our clinics and hospitals are under pressure and during the festive season we expect an even greater demand for health services. Ensure you visit the correct level of healthcare i.e. emergency centres for emergencies only. We are dependent on our communities to ensure our services function effectively”, said Dr Braam Muller, medical manager Central Karoo.
We urge residents to be safe this festive season. Avoid crowded places, close contact settings and areas with poor ventilation.
