Like the rest of the Western Cape Government, the Department of Transport and Public Works (DTPW) strives to provide excellent service delivery to all residents of the province as well as to our visitors. To learn more about the work of the Department, members of the public can see our communication display in the concourse area at 7 Wale Street, Cape Town (office hours) until mid-October.
The DTPW display is testament to our vision to lead in the delivery of government infrastructure and related services. With our hardworking and dedicated staff members, we strive to:
The DTPW also provides many other services some of which are small, but essential for smooth day-to-day operations. Through providing government infrastructure and supporting job creation, we are committed to delivering infrastructure and services to promote positive socio-economic outcomes and safe, empowered and connected communities.
“We render services that make a tangible difference to the lives of the people we serve, and we value your feedback. If you have a complaint, compliment or suggestion on how we can improve our client liaison and services to you and your community, please tell us. We hope that you find the time to engage with this display,” said Jacqueline Gooch, DPTW Head of Department.
“I would like to acknowledge all our staff members for the contributions they make to the Department’s work. May you all continue to have a strong commitment to the Batho Pele principles, and always put people first,” she added.
The Western Cape Government water-saving display will replace the DTPW display during October. The DTPW display will be travelling to our regional offices in the coming months.
