Tomorrow, 1 January 2019, Minister of Community Safety, Alan Winde will accompany the Mitchells Plain Community Policing Forum’s (CPF) Child Rapid Response Unit, to patrol Mnandi beach and register children as part of the Identikidz project.
Through the registration process, this CPF-Unit, along with City of Cape Town officials, have been ensuring that children on Mnandi beach are issued with armbands. These armbands contain the child and family’s information, so that should a minor go missing whilst on the beach, authorities are able to reunite the child with a relative.
There will be an opportunity for interviews and photographs.
ALL MEDIA ARE INVITED TO ATTEND.
