Media invite to launch of “Service to the People” DSD Mobile Office

The media are invited to attend the launch of the Western Cape Department of Social Development’s (DSD) first mobile office on 09 October 2024.

The launch will take place in Nelspoort, near Beaufort West, as it will benefit communities in the Central Karoo. It is an exciting step towards taking crucial DSD services to the people who need it most, those living in the most rural parts of the Western Cape.

The vehicle is a fully-equipped office on wheels, for staff to render professional services such as confidential interviews with clients in secure rooms. This launch will showcase more features of the mobile facility that will enhance DSD’s service delivery in the Central Karoo.

Provincial Minister of Social Development Jaco Londt will be joined by Provincial Minister of Mobility, Isaac Sileku for the launch.

The Nelspoort community will be the first to utilise the DSD Mobile Office, as DSD staff will be rendering services after the official programme.
