Tomorrow, Western Cape Social Development Minister, Adv. Albert Fritz, will address the fifth Youth Skills Transfer Programme (YSTP) graduation ceremony of 31 youth participants from the Overberg region.
The YSTP is an initiative of the Department of Social Development (DSD) in partnership with the Community Chest and Cape Nature. It has already seen the first four groups of 256 youth from across the province graduate. The current class of 31 are from the areas of Hermanus, Hawston, Grabouw, Caledon, Struisbaai, and Bredasdorp.
The YSTP offers a customized package of skills development workshops for youth who are not educated, employed, skilled or trained, and is set to benefit 390 young people.
There will be opportunities for interviews and photographs.
