Minister Schäfer to Visit Blue Downs Primary School on First Day Of School

It is that time of the year again, when thousands of learners go “back to school” in the Western Cape for the start of the 2015 school year.

It is also the first day of school for thousands of Grade R and Grade 1 learners – this usually means nervous learners, oversized uniforms, and emotional parents.

Minister Schäfer will tomorrow, 21 January 2015, be visiting Blue Downs Primary School to meet and greet new learners and their parents and to interact with teachers on the first day of school.

The purpose of the visit is to welcome our new learners and to oversee the readiness of the school for the new academic year.
