New Sporting Facilities to Be Handed Over by Minister Marais

Tomorrow, 26 October 2015, the Western Cape Minister of Cultural Affairs and Sport, Anroux Marais, will officially hand over two new sporting facilities to the communities of Ashton and Bonnievale in the Langeberg Municipality. For the 2014/2015 financial year, The Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport allocated R500 000 for these two new facilities.

These facilities will indeed assist us in realizing our departmental mission to encourage excellence and inclusivity in sport and culture through efficient use of our resources, and creative partnerships. To achieve excellence, we will create the conditions for access and mass participation, talent identification and skills development.
