Notice of Road Works at Blaauwberg Road and Marine Drive Intersections

Road works will be taking place on the intersections of the R27 (West Coast Road) with Blaauwberg Road and Marine Drive between 23:00 and 5:00 on Wednesday, 4 November 2015 due to asphalt surfacing works required.

Please make use of alternative routes where possible.

These works will be completed between 23:00 and 5:00 the following day and the road will be opened to traffic entirely during both the morning and afternoon peak hours.

Traffic will be accommodated through alternate lane merging/closures and the relevant detours will be indicated.

Please note that delays are expected and road users are encouraged to avoid these areas of construction during the abovementioned working times.

Every effort will be made to limit noise to a minimum during these hours and we apologise for the inconvenience caused.

The safety and convenience of the travelling public are of utmost importance and every effort will be made to ensure that all temporary road signs, cones, flagmen and speed controls are maintained and are effective, and that courtesy is extended to the public at all times.

The public is requested to be vigilant and exercise caution when using the road, especially during the night time hours.
