Motorists can expect delays on the following roads where there will be one-lane closures: Cogmanskloof Bridge (R60 near Ashton), the R44 near Gouda, Annandale Road near Stellenbosch, and the R44 between Porterville and Piketberg. We ask motorists to travel with care on these routes.
Traffic accommodation plans such as temporary signage, lighting, flagmen and -women will be in place for safety reasons and to facilitate the flow of traffic. Motorists are encouraged to take note of the contact number on project signboards for queries and roadside emergencies.
We call on drivers to always obey the rules of the road. Only overtake when it is safe to do so. Plan your route in advance to include stops at safe places along the way. On long journeys, take a 10-minute break outside your vehicle every two hours.
