BPO Graduate Internship Programme with BANKSETA

DEDAT in collaboration with BANKSETA and CapeBPO invites all BPO Companies to apply for the BANKSETA Graduate Internship Programme.

The closing date for applications is 30 September 2023

The programme aims to develop skills with the unemployed youth into employment in the Business Process Outsource (“BPO”) industry as call centre agents and data analysts, as part of the Work and Skills Placement Project (“WSPP”).

BPO Companies who adheres to the following criteria below are encouraged to apply and strict adherence will be applied when the proposals are evaluated:
❖ The placement of 500 unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 35,
❖ Unemployed youth placements must be graduates with a post Grade 12 (Matric) certificate,
❖ NQF 4, NQF 5 and any other post Matric Certificate will be accepted,
❖ Companies must provide a minimum top up stipend to the amount of R 1 000,
❖ DEDAT in collaboration of BANKSETA will provide a stipend of R 3 000.00,
❖ Companies must provide accredited and non-accredited training during the 12-month period,
❖ Monthly planned and unplanned site visits will be conducted by Project Manager from DEDAT,
❖ Companies must provide compulsory evidence / documents by not later than 5 days after month end in order to process the stipends,
❖ Strict adherence to due dates for information / evidence by the company is needed in order to report timeously,
❖ Banking, Insurance and Finance Sector BPO Companies are encouraged to apply or BPO companies with campaigns in those specific areas,
❖ Contracting period for 12 months,
❖ Commitment to permanent placement of 80% after the 12-month period is needed.
❖ Company must have the administrative capability to manage the necessary requirements from DEDAT and BANKSETA
❖ All candidates selected for this graduate programme must have been unemployed for a minimum of 1 month.
❖ Implementation date is 1 Aug 2023
