Cape Accelerate Programme

NATURE OF SUPPORT: Non-financial support

BENEFICIARIES:  Existing SMMEs (minimum one year in operation)

DESCRIPTION:

The Department of Economic and Tourism is implementing the Cape Accelerate programme to enhance businesses operating in the Agri-processing and Oil and Gas sectors and their value chains over a period of six months.

The programme offers non-financial support to qualifying businesses in order to: 
•    Enhance productivity and competitiveness;
•    Expand and grow existing operations (with the aim of contributing to job creation); and
•    Create opportunities (prepare the business to access market opportunities).

The Cape Accelerate programme aims to provide qualifying sector specific SMEs with the following:
•    A full business diagnostic;
•    Analysis of the financial position of the business;
•    Identification of the challenges experienced;
•    Development of an implementation strategy; 
•    Implementation of the required interventions to address the challenges;
•    Mentoring and coaching; and 
•    Optimisation of the participating businesses.
