On 13 July 2012 the MEC for Social Development, Mr Albert Fritz handed over assistive devices to the learners of the South African Disability Development Trust (SADDT). These learners form part of a programme initiated by the SADDT. The SADDT is an organisation which aim is to empower persons with disabilities through economic empowerment via 3 major programmes i.e. skills development and employment by means of learnerships, provision of assistive devices for the workplace and poverty alleviation via community-based income generating schemes.
